Antimony ingot is a primary industrial raw material consisting of purified antimony semimetal (symbol Sb, atomic number 51) cast into standard molds for further processing. It is characterized by a silvery-white luster, high brittleness, and poor conductivity of heat and electricity.
Purity: Industrial ingots typically have a purity of 99.50% (Sb2 grade) to 99.90% (Sb0 grade) and higher (up to 99.999% for high-tech applications).
Physical Properties: Density is approximately 6.62–6.68 g/cm³, melting point is 630°C (1167°F).
Unique Property: Antimony expands upon cooling, making it indispensable in alloys that require high dimensional accuracy, such as printing fonts.
