Celestine Celestite SrSO4

Celestine (or celestite) is a naturally occurring mineral consisting of strontium sulfate, SrSO4.
Celestine ore is processed into strontium carbonate or nitrate, after which it is used in key industries:
1. Pyrotechnics and military industry: Production of signal lights, tracer ammunition, and fireworks (due to strontium's ability to produce a bright red flame).
2. Electronics industry: Production of special glass and picture tubes/screens for absorbing X-ray and electron radiation.
3. Metallurgy: Deoxidation and desulfurization of special steels and alloys, improvement of the structure of aluminum-silicon alloys.
4. Chemical industry: Synthesis of strontium compounds used in the production of pigments, magnetic materials, ceramic glazes, and enamels.
